Healing for Our Land



We need healing in our land because we have forsaken our God by following other gods.


As a nation, Nigeria has served idols, provoking God's jealousy. Our God desires exclusive worship and will not share His glory with false gods (Exodus 20:3-5).


When we deviate from God, He can change His mind concerning promises made to us (1 Samuel 15:11). Let us pray that God's hand remains upon us.


Consequences of Forsaking God:


- Sicknesses (Deuteronomy 28:15-68)

- Scarcity and hardship (Leviticus 26:14-20)

- Uprooting from the land (Deuteronomy 28:63-64)


Our land, created by God on the third day (Genesis 1:9-12), needs healing.


Prayer for Healing:


- Lord, reset our brains (Romans 12:2)

- Turn back from idolatry to the one true God

- Have mercy upon me, Father; heal every polluted and corrupted area of my life

- Release Your glory, honor, and power upon me (Exodus 33:18)

- Separate me and my family from evil and calamity (Exodus 12:13, Psalm 91:1)

- Turn scarcity to surplus and abundance in Nigeria

- Stop every sickness

- Renew the minds of our leaders

- Release Your grace and mercy upon me abundantly


Declaration:


I will not be stranded; I am blessed everywhere I go, in Jesus' name (Psalm 23:6).


May our prayers bring healing to our land and restoration of God's blessings upon Nigeria.

CONNECTING TO THE LIFTER OF HEADS

In Psalm 3:1-3 and 1 Samuel 2:7, we're reminded that God is the lifter of heads. He has a history of elevating individuals from humble beginnings to positions of power and influence. Let's look at a few examples: - Joseph became the prime minister - Abraham became the father of nations - Aaron became a priest - Esther became a queen - David, a shepherd boy, became a king - Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego became relevant Only God can lift someone from the dungeon to a place of prominence. Divine lifting means receiving favor from both God and men (Proverbs 3:4). It's about moving from debt to prosperity (2 Samuel) and from the tail to the head (Deuteronomy 28:14). When we seek the kingdom of God, we're automatically connected to the lifter of heads, and He will lift us up (1 Samuel 2:7). The power of choice is a fundamental gift from God, woven into the fabric of human existence. From the beginning, God granted humanity the freedom to choose, as seen in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:16-17). This ability to choose is what distinguishes humans from other creatures, allowing us to reflect God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Biblically, our choices carry profound consequences. Deuteronomy 30:19 emphasizes this when God sets before Israel “life and death, blessings and curses,” urging them to choose life.
