THE BENEFITS

 


It's been a journey on the subject of “New Creation”. Today, we will be looking at the benefits of being a new creation. But first, let's take a recap of what it means to be a new creation.

— Translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God's dear Son (Colossians 1) — Transformation in spirit and moral life — Passing from death to life (1 John 5:12) — Joined to Christ; the old is gone, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17) 

Now to the Benefits;

When you become a new creation, you have:

1. *Access to the Holy Spirit and power* (Acts 1:8)

2. *Access to the hidden mysteries of God's kingdom* (Matthew 13:11)

3. *Production of spiritual gifts and fruit*:

    - Spiritual gifts for edification of the church (1 Corinthians 12:1-7)

    — Spiritual fruit (love, joy, peace, etc.) evident in one's life (Galatians 5:22)

4. *Boldness to stand for Christ and face life's challenges*

5. *Privilege to attain the spirit of sonship.* (Romans 8:12)

*Prayer points:*

1. *Request for a heart transformation*: “O Lord, take away my stony heart and give me a new one.”

2. *Request for a new nature*: “Lord, give me a new man.”

3. *Request for grace to make heaven*: “O Lord, give me grace to make heaven.”

CONNECTING TO THE LIFTER OF HEADS

In Psalm 3:1-3 and 1 Samuel 2:7, we're reminded that God is the lifter of heads. He has a history of elevating individuals from humble beginnings to positions of power and influence. Let's look at a few examples: - Joseph became the prime minister - Abraham became the father of nations - Aaron became a priest - Esther became a queen - David, a shepherd boy, became a king - Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego became relevant Only God can lift someone from the dungeon to a place of prominence. Divine lifting means receiving favor from both God and men (Proverbs 3:4). It's about moving from debt to prosperity (2 Samuel) and from the tail to the head (Deuteronomy 28:14). When we seek the kingdom of God, we're automatically connected to the lifter of heads, and He will lift us up (1 Samuel 2:7). The Power of Choice: A Deciding Tool in Destiny

The power of choice is a fundamental gift from God, woven into the fabric of human existence. From the beginning, God granted humanity the freedom to choose, as seen in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:16-17). This ability to choose is what distinguishes humans from other creatures, allowing us to reflect God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Biblically, our choices carry profound consequences. Deuteronomy 30:19 emphasizes this when God sets before Israel “life and death, blessings and curses,” urging them to choose life. This highlights that while God offers guidance, the decision rests with us. Proverbs 3:5-6 further teaches the importance of trusting in God’s wisdom rather than leaning on our understanding when making choices. The New Testament continues this theme.
